Department of Financial Management
Mission Statement
To provide a broad range of financial services to support the operations of the city while protecting the assets of the municipality which will be translated into the financial transactions reported in the documents as regulated by the State of New Jersey.
Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Management oversees the following Divisions:
- Division of Accounting
- Division of Tax Assessment
- Division of Tax Collection
- Division of Beach Fees Regulations
- Division of Parking Regulation
- Division of Revenue Collection
The Department performs all appropriate functions associated with
· Operational and capital budgeting
· Custody, investment and disbursement of city monies
· General budgetary accounting and fiscal control and reporting
· Billing and collection of general revenues
· Tax billing and collection
· Property assessment
· Parking lot operations and collection of parking meter revenues
· Administer Beach Fee program
· Operation of Transportation Center
· Operation of Municipal Airport
· Payment of bills, claims and demands
